The Smartfix operates in two modes - as a Digital Volt Meter (DVM) and a Current Meter, and you can easily switch between the two.
This handy, multi-functional fault finding tool is designed with portability in mind. It easily fits into your pocket and comes in a durable, water-resistant case that can withstand impact. Navigating through its features is a breeze with its large, clear LCD display. The tool is powered by a long-lasting battery that can last up to 3 years. An automatic ON/OFF feature is programmed to respond to fence pulse detection.
The retractable voltage probe is a great feature for accessing hard-to-reach areas while reading voltage on energizers. The tool utilizes micro-chip technology to function in low voltage conditions and comes with a detachable earth lead.
Worry not about wear and tear as all parts are fully replaceable. A useful low battery indication feature is also included. As a DVM, the tool can measure voltage on all types of energizers, up to 15KV. It can function without an earth lead for daily fence voltage reading, though using the earth lead will give more precise readings, especially when measuring earth voltage. The retractable probe makes it easy to access energizer terminals and cut-out switches in difficult-to-reach areas.
In Current Meter mode, the tool uses large arrows to indicate the direction of faults, making fault finding easier. The digital display of current (A) allows for easy detection of faults. Additionally, it features a bar graph to indicate voltage while in current meter mode. The best part? It operates without cords for your convenience.
